The Daily BridgeEl Puente Diario

The crossing doesn’t end when you reach the other side. You wake up the next morning, and the bridge is still there. The Daily Bridge is the small daily practice that holds you up — on the good days, the hard days, and the ordinary days in between. It is not a productivity routine. It is not about progress. It is the practice of staying present in your own life, one day at a time.

Every practice counts. Nothing resets.Cada práctica cuenta. Nada se reinicia.

2

When the State Check reads Red, presence is the practice. You do not push for a next step. The Red-state protocol governs everything.

On the hardest daysEn los días más difíciles

The whole practice is: three breaths, and a State Check. That still counts. That is a full day of the practice.

The Identity AnchorEl Ancla de Identidad

One honest sentence about who you are — right nowUna frase honesta sobre quién eres — ahora mismo

Not who you were. Not who you’re trying to become. “I am a person who ___.” Examples: “…who carries them forward.” “…who keeps going even when I don’t know how.” “…who rebuilds.” Write it once. Keep it where you’ll see it. It’s the plank everything else is built on.No quién eras.

The most important part of the practiceLa parte más importante de la práctica

The State Check — and what Red asks of youEl Chequeo de Estado — y lo que el Rojo te pide

It comes first, every day, because everything else depends on where you actually are. Three colors. Tres colores. Una palabra honesta.

Green — I’m here and connected. Lean in.Verde — Estoy aquí y conectado. Profundiza.
Yellow — Activated, anxious, stretched thin. Slow down first. Keep it small.Amarillo — Activado, ansioso, al límite. Primero baja el ritmo. Mantenlo pequeño.
Red — Shut down or numb. Do less, not more. Presence is the practice today.Rojo — Apagado o entumecido. Haz menos, no más. Hoy la presencia es la práctica.

Red means your system has hit its limit for now. The rule is the same in both forms: regulate first, decide nothing big, and reach for help if you need it. Which words fit depends on what you’re carrying.

If you are grieving a lossSi estás en duelo por una pérdida

A Red day is not a failure. It’s your body telling the truth about the weight. Today, don’t try to draw yourself out. Don’t force the reflection. Don’t open the hardest module. Be present without demanding anything of yourself — three breaths, a State Check, and that’s enough. The wave will move through. Come back tomorrow. The practice waits.

If you are rebuilding after a collapse — job, business, money, identitySi estás reconstruyendo después de un colapso — trabajo, negocio, dinero, identidad

When you’re Red, your nervous system is not in a state to make good decisions — and the decisions in front of you matter too much to make from here. So on a Red day: don’t open the job boards. Don’t answer the hard professional messages. Don’t make any financial moves. First — breathe, walk, eat, regulate. Then return, on a steadier day, and decide from Green. No hagas movimientos financieros. Primero — respira, camina, come, regúlate.

When Red is more than a hard day — reach out nowCuando el Rojo es más que un día difícil — busca ayuda ahora

The Meaning CheckEl Chequeo de Significado

One honest question a dayUna pregunta honesta al día

Answer one — or, on the hardest days, none. Pick the one that’s most honest for where you are. That’s the whole thing.

1. What did I do, build, or carry forward today that mattered — even something small?

2. Who did I show up for, or love, today — even imperfectly?

3. What could I not change today, that I chose to carry with dignity instead of bitterness?
1. ¿Qué hice, construí o llevé adelante hoy que importó — aunque fuera algo pequeño?

2. ¿Por quién estuve presente, o a quién amé, hoy — aunque fuera imperfectamente?

The Next Day RuleLa Regla del Día Siguiente

You will miss days. That is being human.Habrá días que faltes. Eso es ser humano.

Here is the only rule: one missed day is human. The next day is the bridge. When you miss, you don’t make up for it and you don’t start over. You just come back — the next day, the small practice. Every practice counts. Nothing resets. There are no streaks here, and nothing to lose.

When the wave returnsCuando la ola regresa

Months or years later, a wave can arrive out of nowhereMeses o años después, una ola puede llegar de la nada

An anniversary, a song, a smell, a chair no one sits in anymore. The wave is not a step backward, and it is not a sign the crossing failed — it is the weather on the other side, not a return to the island. Name it. Drop to the floor of the practice. Use your wave plan — the person you call, the place you go, the thing you do with your hands. Let it move through. Come back tomorrow. The wave passes. The bridge holds.

Setting it upCómo establecerla

Tie it to something you already doÁtala a algo que ya haces

A practice you have to remember is a practice you’ll miss. Right after ___, take your minutes on the bridge. (Morning coffee. Brushing your teeth. Sitting in the car before you go in.) You won’t rise to how you feel on the hard days — you’ll stand on what you built. So build it now, before you need it.Una práctica que tienes que recordar es una práctica que se te olvidará.

Some people carry a daily line of faith into this practice — a verse, a prayer, a moment of handing the day over. The words “for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16) are the quiet foundation this method was built on. If faith is part of your life, let it have a place in the Daily Bridge. If it isn’t, the practice works exactly the same. You can continue without opening this.
